Daily tadalafil 2.5-5 mg versus 10 mg as needed

01Daily 2.5-5 mg is a trough, not a cheaper 10 mg
Daily 2.5 mg builds a trough. As-needed 10 mg builds a peak and a 36-hour counselling window. They are not discount tiers of the same swallow.
BPH and combined ED plus BPH use 5 mg daily on the label. Kitchen halves of a 10 mg PRN tablet are not that product.
Steady state on daily dosing arrives around day 5 with about 1.6-fold accumulation. Those figures belong to daily dosing. This note stays with that bottle.
Food is still forgiven. Alcohol still stacks hypotension. Alpha-blockers still add orthostasis. Standalone tadalafil for BPH remains approved; stacking two vasodilators for the same urinary symptoms is the caution.
Three regimens, one INN
ED daily: 2.5 mg; may rise to 5 mg
BPH or ED+BPH: 5 mg daily, same hour
ED as needed: 10 mg start - different bottle
Do not split unscored 10 mg film coats
03Urinary symptoms do not make 10 mg PRN a BPH drug
Weekend 10 mg does not treat BPH on the label. Adding an alpha-blocker on top of any tadalafil regimen adds hypotension.
Need untimed Tuesdays as well as Fridays? Daily 2.5 or 5 mg. Need a 36-hour tail only? Stay with 10 mg as needed after a real prescription.
04What skipping Saturday does to a daily plan
It breaks the trough you paid for. If cost is the pressure, price the correct NDC. Do not invent a 5 mg dose with a knife.

US Cialis tablets are not scored. Kitchen halves are not a trough. Daily therapy has its own 2.5 mg and 5 mg tablets. BPH and ED-plus-BPH use 5 mg daily on the label.

Steady state arrives around day 5 with about 1.6-fold accumulation. Skipping Saturday to save a tablet breaks the trough. Judge after several unbroken mornings, not after one quiet Tuesday.

BPH, and ED plus BPH, use 5 mg daily at a consistent hour. Weekend 10 mg as needed does not treat BPH on the label. Do not add sildenafil on date night on top of daily tadalafil.

Renal rows cap daily use as well as as-needed use. Bring the creatinine to the visit. This note will not invent a daily milligram for impaired kidneys.

Daily dosing is sex-untimed. Skipping to 'save a tablet' is how troughs die. If you want a weekend-only plan, that is 10 mg as needed, not a leaky daily bottle.
