01Does an IV course use a shorter dry window
Oral metronidazole's alcohol interaction is the labelled tablet story here. IV metronidazole is a different product; clinics still counsel the same ethanol ban. The 250 mg tablet you take at home is the swallow these directions describe.
Vaginal gel has a lower systemic load. If your only product is gel, ask the writer. Do not assume a tablet hold if you never swallowed a tablet - and do not assume gel if the bottle is oral Flagyl 250 mg.
02Does 250 mg shorten the wait versus 500 mg
No. The milligram stamp does not shrink the dry window. A 500 mg twice-daily pack and a 250 mg three-times-daily pack both count three days from the last swallow.
A 2 g trichomoniasis day still uses the same afterward hold. More milligrams in one day do not buy an earlier drink.
03What besides a glass is on the hold
The insert names alcoholic beverages and products containing propylene glycol. Some liquid medicines use propylene glycol. Read that inactive list. A rinse that lists alcohol is the mouthwash job.
The pulse already walks hidden sources. This calendar only needs you to start the three days after the last 250 mg tablet you swallowed.
04Where the flush list already lives
Abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, headaches, and flushing are the insert's disulfiram-like list. If that is the scene you came for, open flagyl-alcohol-glow instead of rereading it here.
Flushing plus vomiting plus a sharp blood-pressure drop after a drink on this drug is urgent care. Do not wait out the three days in a chair to 'see if it passes'.
05When the three days start
The hold runs during therapy and for at least three days afterward. If you miss a tablet and take it late, the three days start from that late swallow, not from the morning you meant to finish.
Half-life in healthy adults is about eight hours. That number does not open a drink at hour nine. The drink clock is written in days on the eight-hour page only as a contrast, not as a substitute hold.
06What is not the three-day clock
Disulfiram in the prior two weeks is a contraindication, not a three-day hold. That gap is two weeks off disulfiram.
Warfarin monitoring is also not a drink question. INR belongs on the warfarin probe.
