01Where the coping note already sits
Masking tricks and the longer mid-course note are already on flagyl-taste-note. The listed mouth line is the only question here.
02Why the mouth tastes the tablet
Metronidazole appears in saliva (and CSF and milk) at levels similar to plasma. A 250 mg peak near 6 mcg/mL is a blood number. Taste does not track that peak one-to-one.
03What leftover tablets cannot fix
Do not restart last year's Flagyl because food still tastes odd after the course ends. If taste lasts and you are worried, call the writer. See the 250 mg vault for the rest of the course.
04When taste is not a stop
Keep swallowing the written 250 mg doses. Call if vomiting empties them. Numb toes or a seizure warning are neurologic stops, not taste leftovers.
05Is metallic taste actually on the insert
Under Mouth, the Flagyl adverse list says a sharp, unpleasant metallic taste is not unusual. Furry tongue, glossitis, and stomatitis have also occurred and may travel with a sudden Candida overgrowth.
06How this differs from the alcohol reaction
Metal in the mouth is a listed oral effect. Flush after ethanol is the disulfiram-like list. Do not treat them as one complaint. The drink calendar is three days after the last tablet.
