01If a test turns positive, do I stop 0.1 mg tonight?
Do not stop regular clonidine cold because a test is positive. Rebound pressure is still a labelled risk.
Call the clinicians who own pregnancy and the tablet. The 2-to-4-day reduction is a planned stop, not a home halt.
02Does an ADHD carton change the pregnancy line?
This probe stays on the immediate tablet file. Kapvay is a different clonidine product with its own pregnancy section.
Indication on the order keeps the product split. Name which clonidine is on the chart.
03What is the human-data line?
No adequate, well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Animal studies are not always predictive, so the drug should be used only if clearly needed.
The tablet indication remains hypertension. Pregnancy does not invent a new labelled use on this file.
04What did the rabbit and rat studies show?
Rabbits at up to about 3 times the oral maximum recommended daily human dose showed no teratogenic or embryotoxic potential.
Rats treated continuously from 2 months before mating had increased resorptions at doses as low as one-third the oral MRDHD. Increased resorptions were not seen at the same or higher doses when treatment was only on gestation days 6 to 15.
05What does the nursing sentence say?
Clonidine hydrochloride is excreted in human milk. Caution should be exercised when the tablets are administered to a nursing woman.
The US tablet file does not print an infant milligram or a pump-and-dump clock. The pediatrician and the prescriber share that decision.
06What about higher mouse and rat doses?
Increases in resorption were observed at much higher dose levels (40 times the oral MRDHD on a mg/kg basis) in mice and rats treated on gestation days 1 to 14. The lowest dose in that study was 500 mcg/kg.
Those animal rows are why the human line stays 'only if clearly needed'. They are not a home risk score.
