How do you get finasteride 1 mg in the United States?

Yes. A licensed US clinician writes finasteride 1 mg for male pattern hair loss, and a licensed pharmacy fills that line. The bottle on the counter is usually generic 1 mg, sometimes leftover Propecia. Finpecia 1 mg is a Cipla export name. It is not what most US windows stock. A banner that ships 1 mg without a prescription is the wrong door.

01What does a US pharmacy usually dispense?

Forest-green still life: tiny 1 mg tablet on a hair-line card

Most US pharmacies substitute generic finasteride 1 mg when the script names Propecia or the INN. The film-coated 1 mg tablet is the fill. Proscar 5 mg is a different product and a different indication.

Ask the pharmacist to read the strength on the label before you leave. If the vial says 5 mg, that is not the hair course on this vault.

02Who writes the 1 mg hair line?

Male pattern hair loss is the labelled job for finasteride 1 mg in men. A clinician who knows that indication can write one tablet daily. The visit also covers crushed-tablet handling if anyone in the house may be pregnant, and the PSA sentence if a lab is due.

Dermatology and primary-care desks both write this line when the diagnosis fits. The finasteride 1 mg vault keeps the labelled daily milligram. This page only tracks how that milligram reaches a US window.

03Why a no-prescription cart is the wrong door

Finasteride 1 mg is a prescription tablet in the United States. A shop that skips the written line is not a licensed US fill. The BeSafeRx checks exist for that banner.

Wrong strength, wrong INN, or a broken tablet in a shared house are the practical risks. Price theater is not a fact on this page.

04What if the paper still says Propecia?

Propecia is the US brand search name for finasteride 1 mg. A pharmacist can usually substitute the generic 1 mg tablet. That substitution does not change food, timing, or the pregnancy-handling paragraph.

If the prescriber wrote 'dispense as written' for brand, the window follows that instruction. The milligram on the vault is still 1 mg.

05Can a remote visit write the same milligram?

A licensed US prescriber can write finasteride 1 mg after a real evaluation, in person or by an authorized remote visit. The pharmacy still needs that written line. A quiz that auto-ships tablets is not the same step.

State rules on remote prescribing vary. The tablet does not. It stays 1 mg once daily for the hair indication.

06Does the order have to say Finpecia?

No. Finpecia 1 mg names the same INN when the carton prints finasteride 1 mg. A US window is not required to stock that export box. The chemistry does not wait for a Cipla blister.

If you arrived from a Finpecia ad, read the Finpecia versus 1 mg note for the ingredient line. Then bring a US script for finasteride 1 mg to a licensed pharmacy.

Answers follow the U.S. Propecia label.

Omar K. Can my internist write finasteride 1 mg, or do I need a dermatologist?

Vault reply

Either can write the hair line when male pattern hair loss is the diagnosis. The labelled dose is one 1 mg tablet daily. The visit should also cover who in the house might handle a broken tablet.

Priya S. The ad sold Finpecia 1 mg. Will CVS have that box?

Vault reply

Usually not. US windows fill generic finasteride 1 mg or leftover Propecia. Finpecia is a Cipla export name. Ask for the 1 mg INN on the script, not a foreign carton.

Luis M. A site will ship 1 mg if I tick a box. Is that a US fill?

Vault reply

Not if it skips a licensed prescriber and a licensed pharmacy. Finasteride 1 mg stays prescription-only in the United States. Use the BeSafeRx checks before you pay a stranger.
