01Why this is not the libido table
Breast lines are not in Table 1's 1.8 / 1.3 / 1.2 sexual percents. Mixing them into one 'side effects soup' hides which sentence is a trial frequency and which is a postmarketing report.
Sexual frequencies have their own libido-line probe. This URL stays on breast.
02What 'relationship unknown' means for male breast cancer
The label says the relationship between long-term finasteride use and male breast neoplasia is currently unknown. That is the 1 mg counselling point. It is not a lifetime risk percent this page will invent.
Cases discussed in the file come from 5 mg BPH programs (PLESS, MTOPS, PCPT) with mixed counts on drug and placebo. This probe will not dump those 5 mg tallies as if they were a 1 mg rate.
03What the 1 mg trials actually counted
Breast tenderness, breast enlargement, hypersensitivity reactions, and testicular pain were not different from placebo in the PROPECIA studies. That is a trial-frequency sentence, not a 'never happens' sentence.
Common labelled adverse reactions at 1% or more and greater than placebo were the sexual three, not breast pain.
04What showed up after the tablet was marketed
Postmarketing breast disorders include breast tenderness and enlargement. Neoplasms listed include male breast cancer. Report both. Do not wait for a year-three hair photo.
Rash, pruritus, urticaria, and angioedema (lips, tongue, throat, face) are the hypersensitivity cluster. Swelling of the mouth is a stop, not a breast-line cousin you watch.
05When a breast change is a same-week call
New lump, nipple discharge, pain that is new, or visible enlargement. Take the 1 mg bottle to the visit so nobody assumes you are on 5 mg.
Stopping for a breast workup does not need a taper. The stop probe is the hair-exit clock, not a reason to delay the call.
06Does Finpecia 1 mg skip breast language?
No. Same INN. An export insert that stays silent is a bad insert, not a safer tablet. The 1 mg vault keeps postmarketing breast language in the monograph.
Do not stack an unmarked hormone cream from the same cart. That is a second product with its own breast story.
