What sexual side effects does finasteride 1 mg list?

Decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculation disorder are the sexual lines listed at 1% or more on finasteride 1 mg and greater than placebo. Year-one rates were 1.8%, 1.3%, and 1.2% on drug versus 1.3%, 0.7%, and 0.7% on placebo. Finpecia 1 mg does not delete that table. A man who feels worse still gets to stop.

01The three year-one sexual rows

Forest-green still life: quiet caution thread near a 1 mg tablet

Decreased libido 1.8 versus 1.3. Erectile dysfunction 1.3 versus 0.7. Ejaculation disorder 1.2 versus 0.7, with decreased volume of ejaculate 0.8 versus 0.4. Those are labelled percents, not forum lore.

Discontinuation because of drug-related sexual adverse experiences was 1.2% on PROPECIA and 0.9% on placebo. The table is a consent talk, not a dare.

02What year five did to new reports

The incidence of each listed sexual experience decreased to 0.3% or less by the fifth year among men still on PROPECIA. That is a population sentence for people still swallowing the tablet.

It is not a personal warranty at week six. Call if function drops. Do not wait for a five-year anniversary.

03How many men reported at least one

Thirty-six of 945 men on PROPECIA (3.8%) reported one or more of those sexual adverse experiences, versus 20 of 934 on placebo (2.1%). Resolution occurred in men who discontinued and in most of those who continued.

Most is not all. Individual exit remains valid. This page will not invent a persistence percent the label does not give.

04The 0.3 mL ejaculate-volume study

In healthy men on finasteride 1 mg daily, median ejaculate volume fell 0.3 mL (minus 11%) versus 0.2 mL (minus 8%) on placebo after 48 weeks. That is a volume shift, not proof the hair course 'failed'.

Postmarketing lists sexual dysfunction that continued after stop, including libido, erection, ejaculation, and orgasm disorders. No percent is attached. Report it.

05Does Finpecia 1 mg get a quieter table?

No. Same INN, same Table 1. The 1 mg vault holds the longer safety map. This probe is the sexual-line talk only.

PDE5 can be a separate clinic discussion if nitrates are absent. It does not restore desire. Do not buy an unmarked ED add-on from the same banner that sold the hair strip.

06What the vertex questionnaire picked up

At Month 12, three of four sexual-function domains favored placebo: sexual interest, erections, and perception of sexual problems. Overall satisfaction with sex life did not show a significant difference.

That split is why 'I feel different' can be real while a single satisfaction question looks quiet. Believe the man in front of you.

Greta W. Is 1.8% low enough that I skip the libido talk?

Vault reply

No. Decreased libido 1.8% versus 1.3% placebo is a labelled year-one row. Small and listed. Consent still happens. Stop if you are the man in that row.

Hugo S. If I stay on Finpecia 1 mg, will the sexual effect automatically fade?

Vault reply

Resolution occurred in most men who continued and in those who stopped. Year-five new reports fell to 0.3% or less among men still on drug. Most is not a promise. Call if you feel worse.

Aisha B. The label mentions continued symptoms after I stop. How common?

Vault reply

Postmarketing lists sexual dysfunction that continued after discontinuation. The label does not give a persistence percent. This page will not invent one. Report the symptoms.
