Alcohol is not a nitrate. Organic nitrates in any form stay contraindicated with sildenafil. A spray in the travel kit is a hard stop, not a standing-drink footnote.

02How sitting pressure already dips after sildenafil
Single 100 mg doses in healthy volunteers produced a mean maximum sitting drop of 8.3/5.3 mmHg, most notable at 1 to 2 hours. Similar sitting changes were noted at 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg in that hemodynamic work.
The effect was gone versus placebo by 8 hours in that study. Nitrates produce much larger drops and stay contraindicated.
03Why a failed night after wine is a poor milligram test
Wine blunts arousal and adds vasodilation. A quiet 50 mg after several glasses tells you little about whether 25 mg or 50 mg is the right start.

04What the 50 mg plus alcohol study measured
Healthy volunteers took sildenafil 50 mg with alcohol 0.5 g/kg. Mean maximum BAC was 0.08%. Sildenafil did not potentiate alcohol's hypotensive effect in that room. Maximum observed systolic drop was -18.5 mmHg with both versus -17.4 mmHg with alcohol alone.
Diastolic drop was -17.2 mmHg with both versus -11.1 mmHg with alcohol alone. No postural dizziness or orthostatic hypotension was reported in that study.
05What standing dizziness is telling you
Lightheadedness on standing after 50 mg plus a drink is a sit-down. It is not proof the tablet 'failed' and it is not a cue to add a second 50 mg.
Once per day still caps the night. Arousal still has to be present for the erection the tablet is meant to help.
06Why 100 mg was not in that drink study
The insert states the maximum recommended dose of 100 mg was not evaluated with alcohol. Do not read the 50 mg volunteer row as a 100 mg drinking pass.
