01What the MS week-count is not
One Dosage row names 200 mg of prednisolone daily for a week in acute multiple sclerosis exacerbations, then 80 mg every other day for a month. That row is not a 10 mg burst calendar and not this lock.
Indication-dependent totals live on how long a burst runs. This page only locks the 10 mg tablet.
02Why a 20 mg fill is a different stamp
Clerks sometimes offer 20 mg when 10 mg is short. That offer changes the arithmetic unless the clinician rewrites it. Do not assume two 10 mg thoughts fit in one 20 mg swallow without ink.
The prednisone vault stays on 10 mg. Bring the bottle if the stamp drifted.
03Why 5 to 60 mg is a daily range, not a tablet
Clinicians reach a 5 to 60 mg daily total with one or several tablets, depending on the disease. The vault still talks in 10 mg stamps because that is the strength this site follows.A 60 mg morning can be six of the 10 mg tablets. It can also be a mix of other stamps. The slip has to say which.
04What the brand 10 mg tablet looked like
White, round, scored, imprinted DELTASONE 10. That face is how the brand 10 mg tablet identified itself. Generic 10 mg tablets will not copy the word.
A scored face makes splitting physically easy. Splitting still needs a written plan. See generic Deltasone if the new bottle dropped the brand imprint.
05Which other Deltasone strengths were listed
2.5 mg pink, 5 mg white, 20 mg peach, and 50 mg white, each scored and imprinted with its own Deltasone milligram. Those faces are not this vault's lock. A peach 20 mg tablet is a different order.
Inactive ingredients also differed by strength on the brand list. Fillers are not a second hormone.
06What splitting a scored 10 mg tablet is
The score is a manufacturer's line. It is not a home taper license. Near physiologic drops are written in smaller steps than a kitchen snap.
If the plan needs 5 mg, a 5 mg tablet or a written split of 10 mg both exist. Pick the one the clinician wrote.
